As part of Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, several superheroes will be coming together in the next crossover film, Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, and screenwriter Jeff Loveness says there will be challenges ahead for them to overcome.

During a recent interview with SFX Magazine, the writer discussed the role that Marvel's new Phase Four superheroes are going to play in the upcoming film. He stated that now that the world-building of Phase 4 has been completed, it is time for the players to "put the pedal to the metal again" and see how these characters match up with their earlier counterparts. As part of the film, Loveness said that he wants it to feel like a "generational struggle" and that he wants to "throw them in the fire.".

As mentioned earlier, Phase Four is the beginning of the Multiverse Saga, which comes after the conclusion of the Infinity Saga. There was a start with WandaVision, which came out in January of 2021. There are many characters such as Shang-Chi, Eternals, Shuri, Moon Knight, and Ms. Marvel that appear in this series. There were also new characters introduced in this phase, such as She-Hulk and others.

In Phase 4, Marvel Studios released Black Panther: Wakanda Forever in order to conclude Phase 4, while Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania was released in order to usher in Phase 5 of the MCU, as well as introduce the next big Marvel villain: Kang the Conqueror. This galactic villain was first teased in the Loki Disney+ series, which was portrayed by Jonathan Majors.

It will be Kang's first time facing off against Scott Lang and Co. in the Ant-Man threequel which is set to release later next month. It will certainly be an action-packed film as Ant-Men's crew will be forced to go head-to-head with Marvel's latest antagonist, the Quantum Lang, in this movie.

Marvel Cinematic Universe seems to have found the writer for Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, one of the two biggest Phase 6 projects in the MCU.

Apparently, Kevin Feige has found his man in Jeff Loveness who was recently part of another MCU project, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, which will kick off Phase 5 next year, according to Deadline.

It is expected that Loveness will join Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings director Destin Daniel Cretton in the film, which is projected to begin Phase 6 of the MCU on May 2, 2025.

It is still unclear what the story of the film will be, and who will be starring in the film. As far as I can tell, judging from the title of the film, it is pretty much confirmed that Jonathan Majors' Kang the Conqueror will play the role of the film's biggest antagonist. In the Disney+ series Loki, Majors made his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as He Who Remains. Additionally, he is also going to play the iconic Marvel villain in the upcoming Ant-Man threequel that will also feature Paul Rudd in the role of Scott Lang and Evangeline Lilly in the role of Hope Van Dyne.

While Phase 5 will expand the MCU with new characters like Daredevil, Echo, and Blade, Phase 6 is shaping up to be another big phase, such as Phase 3, which culminated with the Infinity Saga at the end. As well as Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, Marvel will also unveil a new film based on the Fantastic Four, which will be directed by Matt Shakman, who will be helming the project. There will also be a second Avengers film to be released on November 7, 2025, entitled "Avengers: Secret Wars".

I believe that all these projects are an indication that the MCU is on the verge of yet another epic battle that will involve some of the greatest heroes and villains, and it will be interesting to see how the story will be framed around the likes of Kang and the Fantastic Four.
